Since 2006, the Stand Against Stigma Committee has worked to promote mental wellness, increase community awareness of mental health and end the stigma surrounding mental illness and substance abuse.
The committee helps brainstorm, guide and promote the activities of the Stand Against Stigma campaign and plan mental health month events in May. Stand Against Stigma also collaborates with Shasta Suicide Prevention Workgroup on several projects, including the Captain Awesome Campaign.
Meetings are open to and all interested members of the public. It meets from 1:30 – 3 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month.
